8 He just kept blowing his bazoo
Till he made the boys all sick; And we just began to plan Just how to turn the trick.
9 He said he was on his way
To strike the Seven D's; He said he's lost his job Down close to the Santa Fe.
10 Some trouble with the boss —
He did n't give the cause; He said he would like to have A nice, fresh, fat saddle horse.
11 This tickled the boys all over,
And laughed down in their sleeves: "Yes, we will give you a horse As fresh and fat as you please."
12 So Shorty grabbed his lariat
And roped the Zebra Dunn, And turned him over to the stranger, And we waited to see the fun. |
